    Re: music-related question

I don't think there is a free program that does this. And after using trial versions of them, they don't do a very good job of converting MP3s to quality MIDI files.

However, there usually are MIDI files of songs somewhere on the internet. You just have to know where to look for them.

    Re: music-related question

my question is, why would anyone want to do this? the midi would be terrible quality, and require editting anyways.

as Yoshi said, just look for the midi, chances are any song you'd want would already exist in midi form.

    Re: music-related question

A person would want to use a midi instead of an mp3 becasue they are smaller and work in ZC Well, better in zc.

EDIT: MIDI collection reached like 125 Seriosuly it did.

    Re: music-related question

I have roughly 1,643 midis. And I'm sure there are people here who have a LOT more than that.

Anyway, to be somewhat on topic, can't you just use mp3s in quests anyway? Unless you have nothing BUT mp3s, you could always just use a mp3 for a song that no one has sequenced yet..

    Re: music-related question

I have 2 programs I use. One converts MP3 to WAV, and the second (a FREEWARE program called Amazing MIDI) converts the WAV to MIDI. Under the RIGHT parameters, a PASSABLE MIDI is produced, although the quality can, at times, be quite low. E-mail me at [email protected] and I'll send you both programs.
