Well, even if they aren't totally free, I can't see Nintendo charging more than maybe an iTunes-esque 99 cents for an NES game... we're talking about under one megayte of transferred data. Regardless, if Nintendo DOES decide to charge, I highly doubt it will be expensive at all. All I can say is, DAMN.

I'm not so sure that they will be all that cheap. Remember, Nintendo wasn't afraid to slap a $20 price tag on its Classic NES Series. They still do need to make a profit, although most of what it makes on its Virtual Console will be pure profit.

I think people would be more willing to pay 20$ for a cartridge you can hold in your hand than a digital file that could be easily lost.

Those games are not free, but it may be low at price. Miyamoto and Iwata said in an interview released today that this rumor is false but didn't release the price for the downloads. Sorry to burst the bubble, but you know it was too good to be true.

*cough* try reading the thread buddy*cough*

I'm pretty sure that has already been stated several times, with links as well.

Also, wrestling is gay. And not in a "I choose a different lifestyle, but don't flaunt it" kind of way, but the "we're here, we're queer and we're obnoxious as hell" kinda way.

    Only kidding.

Well, the wrestling jab was kinda random.

I still think that Nintendo will be pricing the games, albeit cheaply. 99 cents for a NES games, $1.99 for a SNES game, $4.99 for an N64 game and the BS & N64DD stuff? I'll probably cost twice as much in English pounds, but I think it's a kinda reasonable guess. How much would you guys pay for those old games?

EDIT:A little more info about that list.

the classic series are on seperate catridges which is where the cost came from but with the revoloution its all online so there is no need to make catridges and compact discs thus the price will be greatly smaller.

*sigh* I knew it was too good to be true... Granted, I'm still excited as hell about the Revolution... I'm just gonna sit around here and be hyped from here until Thanksgiving. I had a thought, though... If they DID offer at least some titles for free, they could finally solve that age-old problem of buying a console and only being able to afford one game, which you then proceed to play to death.
