An old question that needs a NEW answer. Hopefully not the SAME answer.

okay - this is an old question, because i've asked it before. But my answer back then, was negative, and that was WAY back at version 1.84.
    Anyways.... here it is again:

In LTTP, There are dungeon tiles where, if you walk onto them from one way , like say the left or right side, Link will walk on TOP of them, and if you walk towards them, from the top or the bottom, Link would walk UNDER them. Sort of like a bridge.

Does that work now, now that ZQ is at 2.10?

You didn't get an answer because your question doesn't really make any sense.

First, what do you mean LTTP?
there really is no LTTP Zelda Classic game, if you are talking about a quest that someone built and named that, which I believe there was one long ago, then it's nothing like LTTP and it's hard to tell what he may have done to make that happen, and it was probably a bug.

You can set combos to "overhead" combo type, but they will be above link regardless of what direction he comes from.

You can set up screens to allow link to walk both over and under ... say a bridge, but this requires you to use secret combos and layers, with temp triggers placed on the floor that will cause them to "toggle" between the layers to appear to be under or over link as needed.

So there is really no answer to your question as asked.

Um, I think he's referring to LttP. As in, the SNES game.

It's hard to set up in ZC.
1: Create the room, and place the bridge on a layer from 3 to 6.

2: Somewhere between the underside of the bridge and the walkable top of the bridge, place a group of pit warps that Link can't get past without walking over.

3: Set the screen flag called "Full Screen Warp" (or something like that) to on.

4: Create an exact duplicate of the screen elsewhere, but instead of putting the bridge on layers 3 through 6, create the bridge without layers and put the ground/water below it on layers 1 or 2.

5: Set the pit warps to take Link from one screen to the other.

The problems with this method are that you can't use tile warps on the screen, you probably need to use side warps to send Link back to the appropriate DMap and screen afterwards, and if you don't go out of your way the player may notice map discrepancies.

I think the method Freedom was reffering to was similar to this, but you'd use temp. trigger tiles and secret combos instead of warps and copied screens. That would avoid the problem with using up both warps, but I don't know how you would allow Link to head back under the bridge, since there's no "undo trigger" tile...

    Kairyu.
    undo?
by toggling the bridge between layer 2 and 3, 2 link walks ON and 3 link walks UNDER.

Do you know how to use secondary flags?
when you have an item in secret combo 16 and you hold down Ctrl and click on that secret combo, then you can "stack" another flag on it.

    SO....
If you have a closed door in secret combo 16 and an open door in 17, then you can set the secondary flags of those to "toggle" back and forth.
so when you step on the floor trigger and it sets 16 then stepping on it again will toggle it to 17, and stepping on it again will trigger it back to 16.... etc.

while all this is going on you can also have it moving the floor trigger back and forth from inside the door to outside the door......

same theory with the bridge, step on the tile, the tile moves to another spot and the bridge is displayed on layer 3, step on it again the bridge moves to layer 2 and the trigger moves back where it first was.

Wow. I didn't know that. Thank you.

So you can pretty much forget my method, Freedom's lets you use warps as well.
