    zipped folder problem

okay, so i have been able to extract zipped folders ever since i got my computer, but i am now getting these strange messages whenever i try to open them: "no files to extract" (when i try to unzip them), and "this compressed/zipped folder is invalid/corrupted (when i just double-click on them). any hints on how to solve this?

Most of the time it's caused by a download problem ... try to download the file again (after emptying your browser's cache) or try downloading the file from another source

    Re: zipped folder problem

I tried that, and for some reason it didn't work. So instead I tried to open another zip on my hard drive that has worked before, and then that didn't even work. So just a few minutes ago I tried logging out and logging back in, and now it does work..
Hmmm... what in the world could've been wrong?

Perhaps your computer has been smoking some strange substance? Or maybe it just needed a good ole reboot.

    That is rather weird though.

Corruption happens from time to time. Usually if something strange is happening the first thing I do is reboot. If that doesn't fix it, I enquire further.
