I could never find dungeon 2 on my NES- my TV screen cut off the left edge of the picture, and I thought there was a wall in front of the entrance.

From the screen where you get the wooden sword, go
^ > ^ > > > > ^ < ^
or,
Up Right Up Right Right Right Right Up Left Up.
If you still can't find it, try adding or removing one of those four "Right"s- I may have miscounted.
