Pretty spiffy screenies!
Here's some from KT (Kamala's Tomb), I don't want to kick my topic until the next demo is ready (which will be very soon, I just need to work some bugs out of level B, then it will be ready.)
Here they are:







The third shot isn't in the demo (or at least not acsessible), I just wanted to show what I've got so far in level 5.

Darn... that's just too cool. Yeah... I don't think I can find a way to improve any of them... I take that back: Ok, you know how the wall interiors are just kinda blank? What I do is, when there's room (Which there typically is), I add more walls on top of them.

Fyi, the demo for that is in my signature.

But asides from that... looks freaking awesome. It makes me want to work on my own quest right now. Also... those are some big levels. Probably a heck of a lot of work, eh eh?
That's one quest that I'll want to play very soon... just as you say.
Ah... second shot: See the corner on the left wall? It's the wrong tile.

Sam Atoms: Very nice remade LOZ tiles. I'd play Blaman's over that (No offense), but I'd still want to play it quite a bit from what I see. It could use some more original designs, but oh well.

XdragonSB: A great Metroid shot... but the colored lines just don't seem to fit in. Dunno how you'd really change 'em a bit, but nonetheless... nice shot. Can't figure out how to improve it otherwise, so you're easily good to go (from me).

Thanks! I'll fix them up. When I went back onto my quest, I saw the bug with the corner. Fixed it. Lots of work to make the dungeons, so I hope it turns out. As for level B, I'm thinking of re-doing the entire level. (Too short.) Those screens you posted are pretty awsome! I'll have to try the demo next chance I get.

I posted this screen earlier in the thread. I changed the pallette to make it brighter and more desert-looking.


A private oasis in the same desert town. However, that water is contaminated (hence the browning grass and the dead plants).


A pharmacy. I think I need to add some shelves in there and maybe a customer or two.


A cave with a simple block puzzle.

Ok I'm here posting some pictures of my first quest. I'm using Pure tileset but I probably won't for other quests, I just like it for starting out. Anyway onto the pictures.

This picture is showing a waterfall flow into a pond on the edge of a desert.

Here is some houses..nothing that special.

Here is my favorite. It is showing how the grass terrain is turning into a desert terrain area. In the bottem left corner you can see my custom mountain tiles that kinda end off the mountain. I have other custom mountain tiles but they aren't shown in any of these pics.

Here is a screen from my first dungeon. As you can see you will have to visit this room more than once to get the block all around till you get it on the switch.

Here is just another room where you will have to make a bridge appear using your flute.

That is all for now. The quest still isn't named and I'm now working on the second dungeon.

The design is based off of the original FF series so if his idea is to strictly use graphics from those games then there is a bit more of a restriction there, but it looks fantastic! How much have you completed so far?

wait, final fantasy? i never saw those graphics on a final fantasy game... then again, ive only played the 7th. wasnt the original that had NES graphics (like that 1) only in japan?
