On a side note, I'm noticing that despite repeated wand shots, my magic meter remains at full strength (which is currently 3 magic containers). Is that supposed to happen? Are the two problems related? I'm using version 2.10.
Think you already gave your self the answere playing in the wrong version , the versions aren't compatible on eachother you walk into bugs sooner or later not caused by the quest but by the version , like the 210 can give wrong enemies on the wrong time in a quest made in an earlier version , or hookshots not working when you need them , and this one probably also is caused by playing in the wrong version
