    Negative speed

would it be possible to make negative speeds? but instead of having it go faster (as logic dictates in this case), the animation goes backward at the speed specified (-0 being the fastest, -255 being the slowest, or whatever the highest number is ZC has for that). it would help reduce the number of tiles, especially if it's a huge animation

like the fireflies in my quest; right now, they all go from left to right. with this feature, it would allow more variety in combos. other than adding more variety and tilespace to a quest, it really has no other purpose, but it would be helpful for the things I've mentioned

though, this would take a massive code change, wouldn't it?

I *could* try adding an option to determine direction of animation (forward or backward) for combos. Not sure how much else I'd have to change, though.

hmm.. how about an option for combos where you can determine the direction the animation will go (like up, down, right, left) from the tile selected by the combo.. That would allow us to put more tiles there by those enemy tiles..
