Yeah, I'd spent years using the words Clip and Magazine interchangeably, largely because alot of videogames actually didn't distinguish between the two(like in the original Doom, the sprite for 8 rounds of handgun ammo was labelled a clip, even though the little graphic clearly shows a magazine). A clip is a piece of metal that holds rounds together when they are in their original packaging. A magazine is the metal container that attatches to the underside of your weapon and feeds rounds into the chamber. I don't have a magazine in my weapon because I'm safely on the camp in that picture. If I had taken a picture while I was out in sector, I would have a magazine in my weapon and a round chambered. Just fealt like clearing that up after the millionth comment.
