    "Best" Free/Online German Translator

    I'm working on my German skillz, but I was just wondering which service or software is the best for translating large peices of text to german->english or english->german

    If I was him I wouldn't want to be translating large pieces of work, although that is just me. For a play I just translated I popped it through Altavista's BabelFish and then instead of using what it said I put it into english myself by writing down what I thought sounded best.

    How long is this piece of work? Should it be translated into German or into English?
