That has got to be the most messed up thing I have ever seen Photoshopped to this day... It would have been a bit funnier with the Link from the Wind Waker's legs or something.

I'm really not very fond of the whole "who are you" ad campaign. I wish they'd use the ad campaign I just came up with, called "Put my balls in your mouth". Here's how it works:

*Camera zooms in on an XTREEM 2 DA MAX guy who does a perfect Samba flip from a halfpipe while playing a Nokia N-Gage*
WAAAAAYYYY COOOOLL TOTALLY AWESOME I'M GOING HAVE UNPROTECTED SEX WITH LOTS OF FEMALES TONIGHT ALL BECAUSE OF MY N-GAGE BUT MY DAD BEATS ME BUT IT'S OK
*Camera cuts to normal person playing a GBA SP and having a great time*
Jock: HAHAHAHA NINTENDO IS FOR BABIES IT'S NOT TOTALLY XTREEM LIKE MY NGAGE AND MY HOS

*Nintendo kid puts a gun to the Jock's head*
N-Kid: Open wide and put my balls in your mouth, freak.

I realize they probably look crummy because I don't have the software for it, but I was going for a certain theme of taking new versions of the character, and pasting the old version of him on it. It's basically suppose to be a spoof of Nintendo's ads and a tribute to Zelda.

If they had made a Zelda cell shaded game with a Link that looked like that instead of a dumb 3 year old, I would have liked the game better.

Came from my head. I really want to see Nintendo smack this "kiddie" image away with some hardcore advertising. You know, the same kind of down and dirty stuff Sony and Microsoft have ruined the industry with. Something that will speak to people like Brian here:

Gamer: Man, this game sure kicks. No story, no depth, I don't even know what I'm doing. But all these polys-per-second and textures realy make the game the best experience ever. Who needs anti-aliasing? It helps me forget that almost every game in Sony's impressive lineup is a sequel or a clone of an already existing game. I don't like risks, I found one type of game I like, and I want to play just that forever. I'm glad I don't have a scary system like the Nintendo Gamecube. I never know what I'm doing in those games, because something's different in each game. Plus, those games are for little kids. I mean, look at Link! I can tell without a doubt that game is no fun because the graphics look like a cartoon. I bet if I told girls I played that game, they would think I was gay. Sony Playstation 2 brings in the hos. *Suddenly, the "gamer" is interrupted by a cartoonish moblin falling from the ceiling. The moblin proceeds to throw his lantern on the carpet, setting the house on fire. Then, the moblin starts breaking stuff and stabbing it with his stick, generally ruining "gamer"'s stuff*

"gamer": HAHAHAHA!!! You look like a cartoon! You suck!

*The moblin turns to "gamer"*

Moblin: PUT YOUR BALLS IN MY MOUTH, JERKOFF!

*The moblin charges at Brian but at the last minute Link comes out of nowhere and easily offs the moblin with 4 quick slices*

"gamer": HAHAHAHA! Your game sucks because you look like a cartoon! HAHAHA!

*Link angrily turns to"gamer" and quickly grabs a Playstation 2 polygon*

Link: ONES WHO DOES NOT HAVE BALLS CANNOT PLAY GAMES

*Link removes "gamer"'s testicles with the jagged edge of the PS2 polygon*

Link: DUAL SHOCK!

*Link stomps the balls*

*Camera zooms out and shows the burnt rubble of the "gamer"'s house.*

This is another one of those 'what was I thinking' posts.

I think you've misjudged me, Atma. I am not one of those gore-loving people who think that a game isn't good for adults unless it has a lot of violence. Rather I am a person who thought that the style of art Windwaker used looked pretty much stupid, and that took away from the game as a whole. If they had used cel shaded "cartoony" graphics but made Link look like how he does in that "who are you" add, and made other characters and the land in general more that style, the game would be mroe enjoyable.

I may not need a lot of violence in my games, but I also don't appreciate Nintendo trying to make one of my favorite game series "kiddy". And that is exactly what they were doing. They could have given the game beautiful, painting like cel shaded graphics, but instead they chose something that looks like it was developed for preschoolers. That is shown in the game's difficulty too. Honestly, was anyone over 10 years old ever challenged by this game, even the last boss?
