Question I now I'm a bit out of date, but...

I have been using ZC v1.90 for a while now, and when my hard drive crashed, I lost quite a bit of what I was working on, including a patch for ZQuest 1.90 which fixed the rotation bug in the tile editor.
Does anyone have that patch lying around anywhere, or should I just go with ZC v1.92 and forget 1.90?

Hrm... I've seen v1.92 on the ZC web site, but when I tried to d/l 1.90, the links were down and I suspect its the same for the 1.92.. so where else can I get it from that's reliable and has the 183 player?

Ahh... excellent. I suspect that the SR1 is the patch? I, sadly, am unable to remember the file name of the patch, but getting some actual info would still be nice (I still d/l'ed it though). In the mean time, I have to get back to work on creating my quest again. Hrm.. and I worked so hard to make my custom tiles and such.. getting it just right with the colors... oh well...

Okay... I've got the patch, but I still feel inadequate about the capabilities... so in regards to v1.92, which should I get.. Windows or DOS? That is, which one is more stable?

if you have XP, go with windows. from what I've heard about the dos version + XP (crashing, file corrupting, not loading all the way, not loading at all..) , you'd be better off with windows

Heh... I've got the same OS as Freedom. I tried the Windows version and it just didn't work. So I'm usin' the DOS version. I'll have to play with 1.92 to just see what it can do... of course, I'd love to know more about layers and all the other stuff. Any sort of aid that may be available?

IDK's tutorial is good, but the best teaching aid is just to play with it.
