Download a windows version of a newer beta, version 1.90 doesn't work well with XP.

Thanks for the link but that didn't work. The MIDI player I was using didn't work for some reason but thanks anyways.

Owing to the fact that ZC uses an external library for sound, there isn't a whole load the designers can do to fix this. As suggested above, try a windows version of ZC.
Also, I'm going to move this topic to ZC Discussion. You're more likely to get help over there than here in the bugs forum.
