I can't seem to move the cursor on the subscreen via 4-button gamepad or any keys. L + R don't work either. Has anyone else ever experienced this problem?

Try hitting ESC to get the main menu, going under Options, I think, and selecting Key Dir. or something weird like that. You can configure the keys for up, down, left, right, etc. Don't know why the gamepad wouldn't work. You don't need those things anyway.

It truly has been too long since I have played the original. Ah well, this was a non-problem works fine now
lol....guess game playing isnt likeriding a bike...but, there are so many LOZ games now...i think that not counting the crappy assed panasonic ones, its like twelve of em now...
