hrm... i cant seem to be able to beat the rom version of BS zelda... i've DL two diff versions (thinking the first was fucked) and in both of them my game froze up entering the ninth level. does anyone know anything about this? i've got it for ZC... but it's just not the same (sigh) oh well.....

Which emu are you using? I played it under ZSNES and had no such problem. Then again, I think you need a certain patch for it to work...
im using snes9xw. i had zsnes for awhile, but it wouldn't play some games. ill DL zsnes again and try it with that. patch? hrm.... mebbe you know what it's called so i could look for it? thanks a lot cloral!

ZSNES had a compatabilaty proplem? I've never really heard of that happening. Yeah, not many BS Zelda roms are all the way complete. Actually, since BS Zelda is much, MUCH shorter than the actual Zelda 1, you should just get Zelda Classic and play the BS style first quest.
I think The BS Zelda Homepage has all of the different patches for BS Zelda, I have a link to it in my sig.

Well, there are certain elements of BS-Zelda that ZC simply can't do - namely, the time-based elements (which caused the weather to change, items to suddenly appear or change in your inventory, and places to open up).
