The one thing I don't understand about the Zquest editor. In the tutorial it says "ZQuest sets aside a specific screen on the map for the cave. That screen is screen 80." Does this mean that all caves (i.e: Shops, special items, pay for info...) are set in this screen, and all that you can change is who is inside, what they do and what the say?

That's right. There are ways around this, but they're a little complicated for you at this point.

Screen 80 is a special screen where you go when you do one of those things. Depending on the room type and so forth it could have a guy or a shop or a moblin, etc. The general layout of tiles is that same for all screens on a particulay map and is set at location 80. 82 and 83 are similar but do 3-room warps or item dungeons and passageways. Play around with different room types on different screens and change 80 to whatever and see what it does. You'll figure it out pretty easily.
