raft in JAmes's quest

hi, I am new to this and have left one message about this already, does anyone know where the raft is in James's quest is? and I have this heart on my upper screen that looked empty then I found two places that gave me a bit of the heart! do you know what that means? and what is the heart for? thanks so much!

the raft is in a very difficult place first u must find this place then find out how to open it up to get the raft thats all i can say
