Tile editing....

Okay, this one is about the tile editing function - there are 3 buttons - single pixel, fill, and replace. then there is another one with an arrow and a dotted square. How does it work and what does it do cos i can't get it to do anything.

I believe it is supposed to be a cutting tool, much like the one in most paint programs. It currently does nothing.
