frist i like to know about tile editing
ok i can edit what i want my tiles to look like.
i found that out thank god=]
but i can't get the pics to work????
im trying to make link into vegeta its just not working.
now i read the tutorial.
it dont have that part yet.

where i can get the latest verson of zeldaclassic 1.92

ok i got verson 1.90 i downloaded today.
but i had verson 1.92 be for my hard drive went bad=/

Ok, first about the latest version of ZC: 1.92 beta 104 is the christmass beta, it is possible that this one is not up anymore because there was a date set that it would be taken down and that date has long since passed. However, there is another build of 1.92 out that is beta 139, you can get the zelda.exe file of that version somewhere on these forums, I think there is a topic about it in ZC discussion, the topic is made by Darth Cronic. If you also what the zquest.exe file you will have to enter the contest that is beeing talked about in the quests forum. Then you can get the full download but you HAVE to enter the contest to get it.

Now about tile editing. If you want to change the graphics for link then you have to edit the tiles that represent them. Link uses Cset 6 for his colors, so make sure you use those colors for him or he will look wrong.

The grab function is for you to grab tiles from bmps and such.

The contest deadline is August 15 I think. The official rules are in the Quest Announcement forum I think.

The Grab function is mainly used for ripping tiles, more about that is explained here:

once you have a picture with the tiles you want in them, all you have to do is click the Grab button in ZQ, select your picture and grab what you want to grab. Do the same thing with the pallete (that's a little more complicated, best way to figure that out is by just trying stuff)

o, 1 more thing, more about Csets and tile editing can be found in the frozen topic at the top of this forum

This is the latest version on ZC that you guys have, so iuf you don't have it by other means, get this and enjoy. Just use 139 to play anything made using later betas, if you acquire such files.

I should release the 148 player sometime, since the contest group now has 148. I think I might wait until the next somewhat stable beta, however.
