Hey Cyclone.
Are we allowed to give out the Zelda-w.exe program to people we'd like testing our program? Without the quest editor, of coruse.

Someone else already asked me that, actually. And personally, I don't see why not; if they can't use the DOS version, I don't see a problem with someone acquiring the zelda.exe and any other files necessary for running the Windows version.
Just don't give them ZQuest, or DN will have my head.

Will do, good buddy.

If I can in fact do that for my beta testers, they will be able to test again! :)
Anyway, as far as I can see it, the required files would be:
zelda-w.exe (duh!)
The allegro library
Am I missing anything?
It would be nice if zelda-w.exe was actually downloadable somewhere else by itself (so Zquest isn't included) as I'm sure that Angelfire will not work with exe files. I'm also assuming I can link to the allegro library directly as well. If not, please tell me soon.
The person would also need 1st.qst, 2nd.qst and 3rd.qst to run ZC properly, though zelda-w could just be put in the beta 104 directory. Maybe a couple other things (like zgp.dat) would have to be updated as well.
People who think they know everything are very irritating to those of us who do.
I'm going to try to discuss this with either Glenn or DN. Or both.

Okay, the zelda-w.exe has been sent to 6 other people who couldn't play Fragments of Power and other quests of mine on their computers due to Windows XP and now it works like a charm they said!

Well, is there a chance we can get that Windows version of ZC out to the public?
I might have to swap to (gulp) XP soon, and I don't want to be left out!
When will a Windows version of ZQ be given out like the beta release before 104?
