I want to use the room type "Give money or life" in ZQuest, but I can't figure it out. I don't get the value thing. I know how to do value in shops, but what about the Money or life thing?

you must give this amount of money to the guy (the value) or a certain portion of life will be taken away from your life meter. how much? no clue.

You pay the amount of rupies or pay one full heart. You lose that heart permanently. You cannot get 24 heart containers now, even if there are that many to be found in the quest. At least, I think so. I'm not quite so sure about that last part...
People who think they know everything are very irritating to those of us who do.
What the previous posters didn't mention is that you are the one who sets the price by clicking on amount and changing that number. I try to keep the number in a decent range between 75-150 rupees. And only 2 of such rooms to a quest.

I would never use that room, its a stupid room, and I would not like to lose a full heart, if I was a player, and never be able to get it back.

Of course, a quest designer can put more than 24 heart containers into a quest...so it would theoretically be possible to end up with a full set of hearts if you pay a heart to the "your money or your life" guy...but I doubt if many designers would deliberately put in more than 24 accessable heart containers, since most players know to pay the money--a heart container is worth almost any amount of rupees, and so many players would find 25 heart containers, or up to four extra pieces of heart.

Actually, I meant that even if you put an extra Heart Container in there, 23 would still be the max amount.

I hope not, because my evil self forces you to lose a heart in the begining of my quest. I'll have to experament with that one of these days.
EDIT: I tired it out. You can still get the max amount of hearts. I can stop worrying now. Check the screen shots below.

Okay.... if you use this room set up more heart pieces or containers in the quest! Like me! I put more HC-pieces in as you can have HC!
