    Exclamation AOL goes to Red Hat?!

    AOL switching to Linux?!?!?! wow that would be so big for them... I mean when people refer to it as AOHell and the word "sucks" is commonly added on to the end of it, I think its time for a change...

    This could mean cheaper rates and better more reliable service! of course if they do it will only be a few servers at first then they would slowly add more as they go so it could be some time before people will be able to tell the difference, but this is a hugh step in the destruction of M$... i hope it goes though!

    this would be great for all those people who are "stuck" with AOL! Just think instead of people feeling sorry for you people would acctually be jealous!!!

    Right now, AOL is running it's own type of server, on Solaris 8 (which I think is a UNIX based OS)

    Yeah. I heard it the other day on www.linux.com
    They are switching becuase Red Hat is free and secure and easier to maintain; while Solaris costs quite abit of money for server use and is not as stable, and requires extensive knowledge of Unix and unix commands.
    They are also switching the internal browser from Internet Explorer to the Mozzilla rendering engine, which is what Netscape and Opera use.
