grass that can only be cut with hilt of sword?

does anybody know how I would go about making a simple script that implements gb style grass?

its basicly the grass we have in zc but with custom effects, sounds, and only is cut with the hilt of link's sword when its facing the same direction of link.
I would also like the effects to be the same palette and cset as the grass.

edit I forgot to mention the grass in the gb can be cut with a spin attack as well.
but that is the only case where it can be cut without the swing being at the end of its animation
