User Support Topic: Infinity Character

A user asked how to do something, and for once, I'm stumped.

The BS Passive Subscreen template, by default, shows the infinity symbol for its infinite character:

How can a user type this, into the editor? Windows has no key-combination that I recall to produce this--OSX however, does--the editor does not permit external pasting, and as far as I knew, we only support 8bit ASCII char anyway. is some other character converted to this, or it it some arcane control code?

In ASCII it would be \236, but you can only type a single character into hat field, so that wouldn't work at all.
