[Winter 09] Legends of the Hidden Temple

I haven't been here for about a week and a half, but I thought I would update you guys on whats been happening.

Update #1 Monday February 9/09:

Work has been slow because of the lack help (Not from you guys, I mean beta testers and stuff.)from FefeRawft and Co. (Yes it exists! Visit our channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/FefeRawft).

I finally got some of my guys to do some dungeon planning and beta testing. We have been working hard for the past week, and we are starting some early planning/ideas for a game that might not ever be released: Super Mario Galaxy 2D. Even though I only started in December, I have been working every day as for at least an hour planning or putting the quest together with my team, that it could be done by around April. We want to release it on my birthday, April 13th. The original name for my quest was "Felix Quest" as a tribute to my dead cat Felix (AKA Fefe Rawft) then it was changed to Journey Through Hyrule. In December, it was changed again to New Hyrule. The final name may be changed back to Felix Quest, but we are still deciding.

I had posted previously that I needed the best copy of ZQuest, but that was because I used I 2.5 beta that kept crashing a while back, I basically re-copied the original version with a few minor, and major changes. One of the Major changes was that we decided to make a coast line on almost all of the screens on the edges of the map. We realized that it didn't look like Hyrule anymore so we changed the name to Korule. An Island we made up, that is owned by Hyrule just off the coast. The story was originally that it was a new Link and Hyrule and Zelda was kidnapped (What's new?). So now that it was in Korule, we decided to mix things up a bit. The story now is that after Twilight Princess (It's the same Link), Link rewards himself by going on vacation. Ganon's ghost retreats to an island south of Hyrule (He didn't know it was Korule), and started to terrorize the citizens. Most of the towns became abandoned or cut off from the rest of the island. The only town that is able to fend them off is Little Forest (Your starting area). Though their hotel was attacked and taken over (Lv.1 Haunted Hotel). Anyway, Link's ship crashes because of a spell Ganon's ghost put on it. He wakes up and starts exploring the town.

In Lv.1 Haunted Hotel, one of the few people who wants to stay there, hints that in the old kitchen, you can find some food I wonder how soon you will need that (Hint hint). This picture was really early, the fires are gone, and we have already gone through 3 different magic meters.

Looking at the map. The white thing with the dots is the castle. It appears white when zoomed out for some reason.

I felt this screen was copying a different quest with the heart shaped stars, so it is gone. This is early, it is using the first magic meter. I got carried away and this was the original entrance for the possibly 2 floor Lv.9.

Version 1 of the completed Lv.2 Entrance, it looks very different now (Notice how little of an overworld there is.) This was the pre-magic meter stage.

This screen is different, a lot of the blocks became hotel items like beds and tables. The bottom and left doors are gone.

Hmm, most of the screenshots you posted had very little detail or content to them. I also think making a quest name is the least of your worry for the present time being, unless the quest name intertwines with the story line that is outlined by the quest it's self. You can obtain the latest beta releases from http://www.shardstorm.com
Incase you forget or such.

Over all I can't say much on the quest because the provided screenshots show very little of the quest detail and/or progress in the making of it. I'm not even sure if you have dropped this quest or not. If you can show some complete screenshots I can better give my thoughts on it.

But for now it doesn't look to well, progress wise that is. ;)

Is this supposed to be a joke? Because Legends of the Hidden Temple was a great show back in the day.

Yes, please clarify. Is this supposed to be a quest based off the television show on Nick quite the number of years ago with the talking statue? That show was great.

And no offense mate, a lot of people start off with it, but the classic tileset has gotten to "ehh" for me, but keep at it, you're coming along, don't get over your head, but push yourself to finish it! We need more good games in the database ;)

Uh, yea thats where I got the name.

Also I was going to release it on April 13th but, something happened to my computer and I lost the file.

But I decided to make a new quest called DKC (Not Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Classic)
