What's all this then? Post ideas here!

Sometimes you have to run before you can walk. Everything in this forum is subject to change but there's no reason to not get started while we finalize everything.

Have a better name for the forum? Let's hear it. Are you good at making images, perhaps using Zelda Classic? We could use your help for "trophies." (Because I'm tired of bothering @ShadowTiger.)

In the coming days I will be adding an achievement modification to AGN. Although it will track regular forum stats like posts, reputation, etc, custom categories and trophies will be added for:

1. The game you nominate being selected.
2. Achievements and completion percentage(either tracked from Retro Achievements or otherwise verified.)
3. Streaming your playthrough.
4. Reviewing the game.

Deciding on a bi-monthly(or monthly, depending on the game) game can easily be done thusly:

Have a nomination thread where members will each nominate one game. The first seven games are put into a poll, which is then voted on. We then play and discuss it. If the game is on Retro Achievements, we can hold races to see who gets the most points. Those of us who stream on Twitch or whatever can post their stream of the game there too.

Other than that, I think Chris Miller's idea is pretty good.

It was interesting because I was creating the Nomination post while he was posting here and they correlated perfectly. (Even though we were discussing it in chat, the execution seemed to be the same.)

We'll make a poll with all of the names at some point and vote on them too. Is Dragon Omega (your brother, right?) going to participate?

Dragon Omega (yes, he is my younger brother) isn't interested in participating himself. The name idea in my post is pretty much all he has to contribute. He plays like 3 different MMOs on top of whatever game he is currently playing on his XB1, so he wouldn't have the time to spare unless I somehow convinced him to do so. He is not someone who is easy to convince to do something outside of his "planned" activities. Took me about 2 months to get him to register on AGN back in the day.

Have you guys decided if we should be using hardcore mode always or leaving it up to the individual players? Personally, I will be because I think save states will detract from the experience. Thoughts?
