I've pushed the big button and reshuffled the github repositories.
Please use:
- master for new features and bugfixes for the next release (2.60, say).
- 2.50.x only for back-ports of bugfixes to 2.50
- a new branch for longer-term/experimental changes. These can then be merged into master once finished.
