Monster spider web in Texas...
http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/08/30/spi....ap/index.html
I've seen some big spider webs in the woods where I grew up in South Carolina... but I'll pass on going to view that spider web. Just from the picture... it's HUGE! I thought spider webs that big only happened on the Sci-Fi channel.

Texas is disgusting. There are so many bugs.
That said, I'm addicted to having 300 days a year of sunshine and warmth so forget it. I'm not moving. Plus, the thunderstorms rock.
Re: Monster spider web in Texas...
^^You should try LA then, that is, if you have the money for the Westside. There's a reason there's so much traffic here.
I hate spiders, but just the big ones. I was scared of finding a picture of a huge spider when I followed that link.
Re: Monster spider web in Texas...
That looks so cool, yet so creepy at the same time. Reminds me of the movie Eight Legged Freaks (I think that was the title anyways) which was kinda funny with some of the things that went on in it.

Like this one?
Althought these little guys always make me laugh. I think its those big eyes, crazy hair, and innocent look on their...er...faces.
Re: Monster spider web in Texas...
That is the scariest fucking thing I've ever seen in my life. Remind me to stay as far away from Texas and it's Massive Spider Army as I possibly can.

Okay, so two more for the "incredibly fucking scary" column. I'm never viewing this thread again.
Re: Monster spider web in Texas...
This reminds of the thread that someone posted a while ago with that enormous centipede that ate a hamster or some animal like that. One second of that thing and I was done.
Re: Monster spider web in Texas...
I find spiders cute, especially when they show a close up of the face with all the eyes like in Grasshopper's second pic. The eyes just make them look like they are very curious, and it's cute.
That being said, it be neat if you could stick a person in those big webs.
Re: Monster spider web in Texas...
Well a spider web is the strongest substance that exists, or so I've heard. So I guess that if you got enough of them, they could even stick a building.

I totally remember that and yes, it was way more disturbing than spiders, even the large ones.

Everybody seems to be afraid of the big ones.
I am "afraid" of the small ones.
Or at least I would rather a 1 foot spider near me than a 1 inch one.

Yeah, spiders are awesome.
And whats more awesome is that giant web is brown from the millions of mosquitoes caught in it. Fuck mosquitoes and the disgusting diseases they carry.
