No, Mindstorms NXT has been quite busy keeping LEGO's cool for a while now.
FULL DISCLOSURE: I work for the company that makes the software used to program NXT http://www.atmaweapon.org/images/emot/shobon.gif
Screw that, punk. Lego has always been cool. :tongue:Quote:

These alone are still cool:

Though I do love some of the special pieces they've been making in the last 10-15 years or so. Of course, themed games are well and good too. That reminds me, I need to play that copy of Lego Star Wars II that I have now XD
The thing I'm thinking is... Lego never made an Indiana Jones themed actual lego set, did they? Star Wars legos have been around for about 5 years, and they probably made Batman ones at some point, but Indy? If they haven't, does this mean they might make actual Lego Indy sets thanks to the game?
Well as for the Indiana Jones lego, they did have Johnny Thunder. It was an Egyptian set with a hero similar to Indy.
Is the reason Google's logo colors are Red, Yellow, Blue, and Green because the first Google server was made out of Lego of the same color?
Yeah, Lego has always been awsome. And the Original Trilogy games are some of my favorites.
Pineconn, the green bricks are usually specialized, for specific sets. I have like, the biggest Lego collection in the history of oblivion, and even I don't have that many.
When I say 'cool again', I generally mean that when you're a kid, you think they're awesome. Which they are. But when you grow up, you kinda forget about them. Yeah, Bionicle and Mindstorms have kept the brand going into early to mid teens, but you do generally grow out of them.
With this new wave of Lego licensed games, however, you're tempted to go back to actually building the damn things. That Lego Death Star looks pretty cool now, right? Your little brother (and maybe sister, I dunno) wants a Lego Harry Potter set, and maybe you do too. When the Lego Indiana Jones sets come out, you're gonna want some of them, aren't you? See? Cool again.
Also: The Lego Star Wars Complete Sage may finally give me the push I need to actually buy a Wii if it doesn't surface for the PC. So yay!
The Death Star itself, yeah. The $200 dollar price tag, not so much.
I seem to remember building a crude remote control lego robot with the early mindstorm sets. now i've gotta figure out where they went to and get back to building things.
EDIT: Sorry, $300 price tag
Lego was always cool.
But I'm still wondering where Lego Superman or Lego Back to the Future are.. :)
...give it time.
One time I remember making a really big pyramid out of legos after I saw it on an episode of robot chicken xD I never finished it tho cuz I ran out of yellow rly fast -.-
I really do love playing the Lego Star Wars games. They are fun, funny, and really do have a lot of replay value. Even though I own the first two, I will probably end up buying the Wii version of the entire saga when it's released this fall. I am really glad to see they are taking the improvements they made form the second game and redoing the first three episodes with those changes. I am sure they will make some things different too to keep the game fresh, besides using Wii controls.
The other ones in development look good too. The more the better because they really do know how to make these games fun to play.
