Might as well update this thread with SOMETHING...
Mitsukara pointed me to an awesome Mario clone called Mario Forever. Has All-Stars graphics, I think it's made in Flash, and it kicks ass.

Ever play Gradius? How about R-Type? Like them both? What if they were meshed together into one game? Would you like that? Well then check this out:
G-Type
It combines the power-ups of Gradius with the power-ups of R-Type. This means you'll be getting the power orb, satellites, and power shots from R-Type, and you have to shoot enemies to get the power-up items like Gradius. The game is quite fun, but short (5 stages).

Another Mario clone, you say? This next oddball mixed Super Mario with Castlevania. I thought it was weird myself, but after playing it, the game made sense. The name doesn't though.
Super Mario XP
(Description from Acid Play)
Super Mario XP is not very similar to the original. The killing methods are the same ie. jumping on enemies and things like that, except there are more weapons than just the plain old fireball. There are hammers, bommerangs and more. The enemies are all the same but the backgrounds are different.
Enjoy these games.
Note: http://www.acid-play.com, as far as I know, is a FREEWARE site. I have not come across any retail games. If there are retail games on the site, it was not my intention to link to a site that contains these things.
edit:
fixed my [size] tags, and the urls.
Very interesting, except -
Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.*cough*
Gerudo has the correct links, but for some reason when you click on them from here, a second "/" character gets put in the url after the .com/. Take that out and it will work.Quote:

I posted about this a few months ago, but my Prince of Persia mod has now reached Beta 0.5, and due to a lack of Beta Testers I've decided to make it an open Beta. Head to my site (www.kx-website.com) to download it.
Please do - if people don't tell me what's wrong with it, it'll never get finished.
Also, here's a link to a different thread which featured some Final Fantasy fan games, for those interested in that sort of thing : on the search
I made a shooter awhile back based on Zelda. In it, you play as a Zora who has to blaze her way past several Link Clones. There are seven stages total. I'll put up a link to it soon.
Okay. link.

- Mega Man Evolution: http://www.thegoodtimeboys.com/games-mme.html
A Mega Man game by the creator of Mega Man Co-Op. Has 32-bit graphics, takes the best of all MM games and brings them together, including 8-bit Robot Masters converted into 32-bit, original music, melee attacks, and other unlockable fighting styles. Must play it to see what I mean. Totally original concepts, but at the same time, still feels like Mega Man.
I found a level editor for Super Mario World Here.
