Re: Isle of the Winds
I'm having some problems in lvl. 2. I get in the level and bomb all the breakable walls and move all the blocks that I can but I can't seem to get past a few obsticals. One of the obsticles are the apperently wooden blocks, their the light tan ones. I'm certain that I need the lamp/candle to burn them but have not found it yet. Is it within this level or somewhere else?
The other problem is about the globe switches around the level. I found that they can be triggered with the sword but in a couple of rooms the switches are seperated from link and only reachable through long range weapons. I have tried using arrows with no success. I have also purchesed the boomerang and tried to use it but it does not work. Is there something else that I need to find to trip these switches?
I initially came across these problems using 2.10 but after reading through this thread I found that b183 would work better so I tried it there but found the same problems. What do I have to do to get past this?

Re: Isle of the Winds
I'm kind of stuck at the moment. I've beaten the first and second levels and I'm working on the third(which is the ice one if I'm correct). I've explored every room possible at this point(unless there are secret rooms) except where I have to use something to hit/connect with a pyramid type object. I'm assuming this is where I use the hook-shot? Problem is, I don't have it. I have the following items:
boomerang(blue)
candle
glove
bow and arrow
wand
raft
whistle
meat
bombs
super-bombs
...and a few other misc items that I can't remember
Any help please?
Oh, and Dark Flame Wolf, congrats on a really good, challenging quest. Boy does this game sometimes get me ticked off...but that's just because it's good :D

Re: Isle of the Winds
Compu Whiz, go all the way to the left on the bottom row of rooms in Libra level 2. There should be a room with a bunch of leevers and some vines on the north wall. Slash that and enter the next room. Inside the staircase is the magic boomerang. Those will activate those long-distance crystal switches. Sorry about your waste of money on that wooden boomerang! LOL From there, if you have enough keys, you can simply move over one room and go for the red lantern while you're at it.
Ryo_Sochii, your problem is easy. Use the wand on those diamond switches. That'll open things up right away. If you have low magic power, face some red darknuts. They usually drop a magic jar or two. And it only gets more challenging!
KooblaKahn, it is challenging, but not really impossible. Level 9, and the master dome do have some trouble spots. But nothing that a seasoned player can't handle.
Batosaijosh, Level 2 and any subsequent level afterwards requires a super bomb to access. So go stop by Desert Island and buy some super bombs from the shop there on the southern beach. As for Forest Island where level 2 is, let's start off at Town Island, yes? Take the left dock from Town Island past Death Isle. You'll come to a small octorok ridden island. Take the FAR left dock here again and hold left right before you leave the screen via the north raft route. This should take you directly to Forest Island. (If you headed north and then right, you'd run into Desert Island. Perfect for buying those super bombs and rafting right back to Forest Island)
Does that answer everyone?

Re: Isle of the Winds
GAHHH. Leo is quite good! However, I've found the Level 2 Bracelet and ran out of keys. I have no Magic Book either. Now I cannot continue, for it looks as if I need more keys.... but cannot find anything to do with the Bracelet! I need 3 keys, presumably more (knowing you :D), in this little deal:

And here is my inventory to see the rooms I've been in:

By the way, I have the Boss Key already. That block push puzzle before the Boss Key was really hard! Great job on that one!

Re: Isle of the Winds
Thanks on the block puzzle. Level 8 is weird in that you must have 7 extra keys before coming to level 8 to actually complete it. You're probably saying: WTF?! Yep, there was ONE EXTRA KEY for EACH of the first 7 dungeons! All those 7 keys must be used in this one. Otherwise, you'll never complete it. THANKFULLY, if you don't feel like searching every dungeon again for those damn keys, the shop on Volcano Island just one screen left of the level 8 entrance sells keys for 500 rupees a pop! So if you got the money to blow, go spend it! Otherwise, your time in the quest will probably extend a few more hours searching. Try your whistle to blow yourself back to dungeons where you think you may have missed a key. If this isn't the case, then you are missing a key or two from level 8 then. Either way, the 500 rupee shop is always there for when you give up. ;) Good luck! You're almost finished!
oh, btw, if you haven't done so yet, I highly suggest you complete Levels A, B and C before tackling level 9.

Re: Isle of the Winds
I counted 3 keys actually in Level 8 plus of course you need the 7 from the prevoius levels.

Re: Isle of the Winds
Thanks DarkFlameWolf. I had a feeling that those vines had something to do with getting farther but I never thought that I had to slash them. In fact I tried everything but slashing them. Thanks for the great quest.
