Re: Suggestion for ZQuest window size
I have yet to get the scale parameter to work. Its not too much of a problem, as I generally use the full screen mode (Funner that way.)
However, I know RAM cant be the cause. I have 512 Megabytes of RAM and if it takes THAT much to scale it... o.o;
Re: Suggestion for ZQuest window size
What are your desktop resolutions?
Re: Suggestion for ZQuest window size
show me exactly the command line you are using when it fails, in its entirety.

"C:\Documents and Settings\Daniel\My Documents\Beta Testing\Zelda Classic\zquest-w.exe" "-windowed" "-scale 2"

"C:\Documents and Settings\Snort_2\Desktop\zc193a3w\zquest-w.exe" -windowed -scale 2
Re: Suggestion for ZQuest window size
Okay, and is your desktop resolution greater than 640x480? You might also see if it works with -gdi after -windowed, though even if it works you probably won't want to use it in that mode.
Re: Suggestion for ZQuest window size
As an alternative to scale mode try using the "-windowed -large" options. This makes a bigger window with a few extra features such as the ability to view the combos on the adjacent screens while editing. It's pretty buggy right now, but I prefer it to the scale option because of the adjacent screens feature.
Re: Suggestion for ZQuest window size
Don't get too cozy with the -large option. If the bugs don't get worked out, this mode will be disabled before final release.

I have it at 1280x1024. GDI just freezes it up.
EDIT: Oh I fixed it up. I needed to take out those quotations. Duh. :tongue:
Re: Suggestion for ZQuest window size
Works for me. Great feature, since the mode switch takes forever on my laptop, but the normal windowed size is too small in 800 by 600.
However, if mouse scroll is on, the mouse does not work in the window and the tiles just keep scrolling down.
