Well, we've been given a description of the level 2 boss, but all I know about the level 1 boss is that it's supposedly the controlling force of all of the exposed roots and leevers you encounter in the temple.

Well, we've been given a description of the level 2 boss, but all I know about the level 1 boss is that it's supposedly the controlling force of all of the exposed roots and leevers you encounter in the temple.
It'll look something like NoeL's forest temple boss:
This, I think, will be the basic layout of the screen.
The basic plan is that you'll have to hookshot from platform to platform, slashing eyeballs that pop up. Not much more, believe it or not. You'll only have access to one eyeball per loop, obviously. I guess he'll have four eyeballs. You'll hookshot between platforms, slashing at the eyeballs. Then you'll get attacks where he ... well, ... ever play Starcraft? The Zerg Sunken Colony. It'll probably need Freeform Combos for that. :p He'll send out tentacles coming out of the ground which will (Invisibly) home in on Link's position, then about 60 tics later, come out of the ground and combo cycle into a damage combo and back again, retreating into the ground.
Eventually, vines will sprout up in the holes, preventing you from hookshotting to the other platforms, so you'll have to burn them to get past them. (Thank god for singular flags. :p )
So yeah, we'll need some viney graphics for this boss.
Ecch. Why does it have to be eyeballs? (I mean, what do the following have in common? Gohma, Patra, Vaati, Vitreous, Death Eye, Arrghus, Wart, Eyegore, Moa, Slime Eye, Eyesoar.)
Also, eyes are typically percieved as slime-type, not plant-type. (Maybe if you made them compound eyes)?
