Ability to set Link onto a certain layer, other than his default layer.
It is how bridges were achieved in Z3. The stairs sets what layer he was on.
So yeah. What do you think?
Re: Ability to set Link onto a certain layer, other than his default layer.
That would be a pain if you didn't use dummy combos! I say it should be a flag so A. you can clear up space on layer 0 and B. you won't need extra combos.
Re: Ability to set Link onto a certain layer, other than his default layer.
Hmmm, interesting. I personally wouldn't use the regualr layers, but find a way to move Link on the Z axis in a new layering system. But this is a feature that for once, I honestly can't judge how hard it woudl be to implement. I dunno, it'd maybe be consdered post 2.5(But then I'm not a dev...)
Re: Ability to set Link onto a certain layer, other than his default layer.
'New quest rule: Draw Jumping Link Above Layer 3'
If this functionality is possible that may mean that switching Link's layers is not far behind (and maybe a zcript funtion to do this as well :D )
Re: Ability to set Link onto a certain layer, other than his default layer.
yeah so if link is on layer 4 then he interacts with the combos on layer 4
Re: Ability to set Link onto a certain layer, other than his default layer.
Here's a question.
What of the enemies? It's good to get Link up there, but how about the enemies too? Or would Link fight nobody? That kind of rule may prove to be a little tricky to implement. And as in Z3 there were enemies both above and below. But, I'm all for it.
