Yes I still play Pokemon wanna fight about it?

JOkes aside, a surprise announcement a day or so before today a Pokemon Direct was announced for this morning and it is brief (less than 8 minutes of runtime) and it confirms that the next Poklemon game on the Switch is Generation 8, titled Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield and takes place in a region based off of the UK, but flipped upside down. They also revealed the starters names. There is also some talk of a certain background piece perhaps hinting at one of the game's new pokemon but its all speculation at this point and more will be revealed most likely at this year's E3, if not in another Pokemon/Nintendo Direct before then.

Anyway, the Pokemon Direct (linked below) for your convenience.

Oh and some people are saying the grass starter looks like Cell from Dragonball Z. I see why and expect someone to make a meme of the start evolving by absorbing the other 2 starters to do so any day now.

Anyway, what are your thoughts?

We had a crazy fuss on Pokemon 3 years ago in Ukraine. A lot of young people were walking the streets in search. But then the popularity of the game fell just as quickly...

Yes, the popularity of this game has both sharply increased and rapidly declined. Although in his time only lazy did not play the Pokémon. Many even bought powerbanks to go for a long walk in search of Pokemons.

Although the advantage of this game is that it forced children to go out with the gadgets to the street, rather than sitting at home:laughing:
