View Full Version : End of Time DX - Issue with Flippers update in ZC 2.5

In the quest: END OF TIME DX, Level 6 (The Water Temple) I'm stuck in a room which you have to use your hammer to hit all the moles.
When you try to hit the mole just north of you, ZC thinks you want to use the Flippers and you instantly jump into the water. It doesn't let you move your player 1/2 up the block so you can extend your range and hit the mole with your hammer.

I think this problem is related to the changes from ZC 2.10 to 2.50.
Specifically how the Ladder and Flippers are handled or automatically activated.

Anyhow, this is a Progression Blocker, as I can not go further in the game.

Please try this using ZC 2.53.0 (Beta15) (http://timelord.insomnia247.nl/zc/zc_dev/2.53_Win_Beta_15.zip) and see if the problem has been resolved. I recall Saffith fixing the hammer range last year.

Thanks, I tried 2.53 b15, but unfortunately it still has the issue.
I tried standing half way on the block and hammering, still couldn't hit the mole.
I wish the auto jump into the water wasn't a thing.

I'll see what I can do: I'll need to verify the original ZQ version in which EoTDX was created, and patch the hammer's hitbox for quests with that build signature. For the present, I am only going to modify the hammer hitbox if a quest has that specific build ID, for fear of breaking it, elsewhere...


Saffith fixed the hammer hitbox to the left, I believe, but not upward. I'll need to see if that commit was llost somehow, too.
