Would you like to nominate a game to play together? Now's your chance! Whether it's your all time favorite, universally acclaimed, universally hated, or you think it was underrated, we'll vote on your nominations. Tell us why you think the game you're choosing would be fun to play, discuss, and review as a community.

Although it's not required, the best option to make sure everybody can participate is to choose a game from this list. Retro Achievements (http://retroachievements.org/gameList.php) Fortunately, it has the added bonus of achievements so we can track accomplishments and completion! Most computers should be able to run the emulators from that site or you can use the preferred method, Retroarch (https://www.libretro.com/index.php/retroarch-2/), which has the achievements system built in and can emulate all of the systems via cores.

Nominations will close on 2/22 or as soon as we have 7 to choose from. At that time, a poll will be created to choose the winner!

Thank you for sharing your interests with us and welcome to the club!

I nominate Gradius for the NES, because I'm just that cruel.

I nominate Actraiser (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ActRaiser) for the SNES. I have incredibly fond memories of this game, several of which relate to my older brother who has since passed away. Game Rankings (http://www.gamerankings.com/snes/563502-actraiser/index.html) has it at 79.25 and 32nd overall for the SNES. It is one of the most unique games I've ever played--a side scroller action adventure with sim elements tied in. Although the sequel is criticically acclaimed as well, they removed the sim elements and I've personally never played it although I plan on doing so in the near future. If you've never played Actraiser, I highly recommend it. If you have, I hope you'll enjoy playing through it again as much as I know I will as I haven't played it since the mid 90s when I was only 8 years old. Thanks for considering my nomination!

Damn, that's a pretty good one. Requires a lot more skill and patience to get those achievements if you haven't played in a while.
King Aquamentus, what say you?

I'm half tempted to suggest "Duck Tales" just because some of those levels are so damned hard. :P
Also Populous for the SNES because it takes like 4000 hours to beat. XD

Been forever since I played Duck Tales. Never played Populous though (not from lack of trying either). Both would be some good challenges.

Duck Tales is another good one. I've actually never played it.

I knew what Populous was at one point but I'll have to Google now.

I'm thinking we should just roll with one per person and if we don't reach seven, so be it. I'm sure the nominations will pick up as more people join us. The interesting thing will be seeing what the community votes for regardless of whether they'll be playing or not.
