So the Big N has given more details for the Switch. The video itself is over an hour long, so instead, I will be linking the playlist which has trailers for most of the stuff Nintendo is making themselves, with a video giving some highlights of 1st and 3rd party titles. The presentation itself is at the bottom of the list if you feel like watching it, but I'll be posting some of the details from it after the playlist link.
Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2JiZAV5BmDWTk6T8Y4-zpA1iP2AU9vjE
So what is in the show itself and not in any of the trailers? Release date for the console, market price, and some other details.
First off, Nintendo go out of their way in the first minutes to mention they are NOT doing region-locking with the Switch (so if a game in another country comes out but no localization for yours in sight? import it if you so desire). Second, the release date for the Switch itself is March 3, 2017. So a less than 2 months away from now. Third, the market price for the Switch will be $299 (or about $300).
Foruth, the Switch will have a payed Subscribtion deal (similar to Xbox Live and PS Plus) that will be in Free Trial Mode until Fall of 2017 and features included are 1 free game a month (its an NES/SNES game with added online features that will be only available for that month it seems), exclusive deals (most likely discounts), and Voice Chat. Honestly not too keen on some of the Online policy choices (XB Live already has better with its free games being your even if you end you sub) but at least the eshop isn't locked behind it (that would be a dumb move really if it was) and we'll just see once the trial for it starts in March (honestly not optimistic about it, though I always had a feeling they would go the paid sub for online route sooner or later)
Also, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is set for Day 1 Launch title (though it is also a Wii U title so no idea if it gets the same release date on both or not yet...at least to my knowledge)
So what are your thoughts? Personally, I'm a bit excited. I went in not expecting anything other LoZ:BotW details at best and came out with some titles on my wish list (Fire Emblem Warriors, Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2 to name a few) and think it will be nice. Time will see what else we get. There are supposed to be more details today (and most likely more before the 3/3/2017 launch)
[EDIT--VISION] Here is a list off all currently known games for the Switch (courtesy of GameFaqs, take that with however much salt you want) http://www.gamefaqs.com/switch/category/999-all

Too expensive, $250 or less was the sweet spot here, and their biggest draw will be released on the Wii U still too, which is a mistake. I'll just pick it up there and not worry about the new console.
Not currently interested in it.
When they get a price drop I may take a look if they get some third party support this time.
I'm tired of buying Nintendo consoles just to play a couple titles.

Not at all interested. I'll get BotW on my Wii U and pass on the Switch. New Mario looks kinda neat, but not enough to make me want to buy the system. Don't care for modern JRPGs either, and Skyrim? I've bought that game twice already. Don't need another one. I'll pass.

New Mario looks weird, they'll have to convince me.
It'll be tempting to have BotW on the go but it's free on Wii U so I'll probably be in the "wait and see" crowd too.

Nintendo jumped on the anti-Gamer/anti-GG bandwagon in their "ShuffleGate Response" calling us gamers a "Hate Campaign", I'm interested in the Switch and in Mario Odyessy, but I'll buy them 2nd hand, if at all. They'll NEVER get MY money again.

That's a little rash. What is Nintendo more likely to see, cancerous Internet Feminism lies and propaganda or a modest twitter campaign that doesn't get attention unless it's being made the villain? When Zoe Quinn can still play the victim about any vague thing she likes a round up over 20,000 likes and shares, I think the answer is obvious. I mean the fact that she is still being referred to as a designer is pretty telling of media bias.

This would be an excellent point, if we were talking about normies, and not a company's PR department, which is trained in such propaganda and very likely to see through it.
As much as I hated Iwata, his Successor (eh, no pun intended) has been WAY worse, and shows every sign possible of hating his customers. The ShuffleGate thing was just his worst offense on that front, but far from his only one.

Either you are trolling, or.............you actually believe the media, the same media who spent years trying to paint us as violent, only to get proven wrong by science. I'm not sure which is worse.
The CONleaks, FBI files, and JournoPros leaks all prove that the accusations were fabricated. You also fail to understand how propaganda works. The first word "gamer" means anything associated with it, WILL be associated with ALL gamer, this is deliberate, as the media are expert propagandists. If this was a joke, I understand, but if not, be careful what you believe from the media.

Err... A PR department cares about one thing. Can you guess it? Right! PR! They could give a damn about facts or propaganda. They only care about what is generally accepted and what makes for a good image. GamerGate being a "hate campaign" is generally accept and speaking against it makes for a good image.

Yes and no, PR does care about a good image, this is true, but a good image is best achieved with persuasion, so any company worth its salt will hire propagandists for the job. There may be exceptions, sure, but in practice, PR is propaganda.

First time I've seen that claim invoked to defend Gamergaters rather than to mock them. Does anyone really still believe it?
I'm not 100% sure this isn't sarcastic, but that would be incongruent.

The laughter was sarcastic. I really don't know why I posted it. I was likely tired.
I imagine you are decidedly ignorant about GamerGate then, because that it what it has always been about. Considering a quick look on twitter still shows the tag being used to call out stupid censorship, I believe it. This guy believes it:
"I see GamerGate as the best modern example of how a false narrative can be socially engineered by coordinating the five C’s:
1. Confirmation Bias, leading to the cherry picking of only data that supports one’s position;
2. Composition Fallacy, arguing that a part defines the whole;
3. Clickbait Business Model, incentivizing sensational stories spread through social media;
4. Complicit Mass Media, pushing eagerly any War-Against-Women/harassment story;
5. Collectivism, justifying outrage and action for the “greater good.”
So what is GamerGate? From my one year of observation and interaction on Twitter, it’s simple: gamers pushing for free enterprise and free markets in the gaming industry; gamers asking for a competitive market free of collusion, free of corruption, and free of control of artistic creativity by authoritarians. In short, GamerGate is a freedom movement.
Don’t take my word for it. Scrape the Twitter API, code the content, run the statistical analysis. If you’re anti-GamerGate, you’ll be surprised by what you find."

You are imagining the inner workings of a massive corporations to fit your narrative. Nintendo doesn't give a crap about Gamergate. In all likelihood it went something like this:
Nintendo PR Person: "Seems we are taking heat because someone said we referenced something called Gamergate."
Head PR Person: "WTF is Gamergate?!"
Nintendo PR Person: *googles Gamergate* "Apparently its a group that harasses women."
Head PR Person: "Alright, make a statement saying we dislike whatever it's called again."

Ask yourself what is more likely? That a rogue group from one of the most socially progressive communities on Earth became misogynists and harassed women cus misogyny? Or that the media, which has always hated gamers in the first place, spent years trying and failing to paint us as violent, decided that the wave of political correctness (that I believe started with an idiot radio host calling someone a slut for taking excessive amounts of birth control), and took advantage of the term "GamerGate" to paint ALL of us as misogynist woman haters, because science kept proving the whole violence thing wrong?
To me, the latter is far more plausible. I will say that GamerGate lacked the persuasion to have good PR(aside from Mike Cernovich, but he was more a sympathizer than a true GamerGater), and was too busy cucking itself to press ANY advantages it gained (seriously, I wish someone would throw mundane matt's fat ass off a building). But having bad PR doesn't mean you are wrong or that the malicious and evil gamer-hating media is correct. It's anti-gamer propaganda, they hate us gamers, always have.
SUCCESSOR We're going to have to agree to disagree. I personally don't see how any company with any level of competence could possibly hire PR departments full of people with little to no understanding of persuasion, propaganda, or anything of the sort. To me, that makes no sense. Perhaps Nintendo is incompetent, but even that is hardly a defense, even then, they negligently slandered us.

I'm sure their PR is very apt at what they do. There is just no reason for them to care about GamerGate. It would do nothing for them to sort out the truth of GamerGate and it does nothing (significantly) ill to them to negligently slander it.

Well, their customers ARE gamers, so you'd THINK it would.................if not for the fact that Nintendo could murder half its fanbase and the other half would buy double to help them not lose revenue.

Gamers and GamerGate are not synonymous. Nintendo slandering GamerGate isn't the same as slandering all gamers. GamerGate is just a very small vocal group of gamers.

That's an excuse, not reality.
I mean, sure, LITERALLY that's true, but that ignores basic premises of propaganda, human psychology, and persuasion. The first word in "GamerGate" is, in fact, "Gamer". Ask any psychology expert how human beings associate things, that means ANYTHING associated with GamerGate will, in fact, be associated with gamers on the whole. To deny this is to turn a blind eye to the true dangers of the media's propaganda.
And sadly, the propaganda works, I can show PLENTY of examples of people calling, not GamerGate, but, in fact, gamers, misogynists and woman haters.

Is it going to be cheaper to get it without the tiny handheld part? What happens if someone will only use it with an actual TV? I get that "Switch" is the gimmick but...

You can pay for the whole thing and that's it. Doesn't look like there are plans for having any one part (handheld/tv) seperate (which makes sense as it has for the longest time been called a console/handheld hybrid in the rumor scene) On a side note, there has been some additions to the Day 1 Launch titles. Not much really, but it now will be launching (in the USA) alongside the following purchasable titles:
1, 2, Switch
Human Resource Machine
I Am Setsuna
Just Dance 2017
Little Inferno
Skylanders Imaginators
Super Bomberman R
The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth +
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
World of Goo
Btw, Japan gets the following:
1-2-Switch
Dragon Quest Heroes I & II for Nintendo Switch
Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna (I Am Setsuna)
Makai Senki Disgaea 5 (Disgaea 5 Complete)
Nobunaga no Yabou: Souzou with Power-Up Kit (Nobunaga's Ambition)
Puyo Puyo Tetris S
Super Bomberman R
Zelda no Densetsu: Breath of the Wild

Joycon bluetooth looks pretty weak which is discouraging. I was probably going to bite the bullet for higher resolution Zelda but I'll probably stick with free BoTW for Wii U for now. Hopefully a firmware update will improve it at the cost of battery life but I'll wait around a bit to find out.
As far as gamergate goes, I've read about it 15 times and I still have no idea what happened and who I should be mad at.

Its been revealed via a tweet from NoJ's CEO/President/Whatever he calls himself, that the yearly cost for online comes to (when converted into US dollars) around $20+ PER YEAR IN TOTAL. Sounds too crazy to be true.

I heard rumors that it was going to be around that price for a full year and that's pretty amazing honestly when compared to other services, mainly XBox Live. The online service and other features are something I can't wait to finally see more about.
