Allegro.log is a file in the directory where you unzipped Zelda Classic. It's used as an output for errors, so Gleeok is asking you to find that file in your folder, open it with Notepad to copy what's inside, and then paste the result here so that he can analyze the error.

I would recommend, however, trying to open the program with ZLaunch.exe, the yellow icon with the key. I've found that the launcher opens Zelda Classic and its Editor when using the executable directly does not. If that doesn't work, please tell us which operating system your computer is using so that we can determine if there is a compatibility issue.

Henceforth thalt shall immediately look upon the inscribed words of logging and use the power of spiders so that I may gaze upon its secret wisdom. Go into your ag.cfg file, and see what the color depth is set to. It should be just a couple lines up from the bottom.

Finally the answer seems to be...(resolution no supported) ,, don't work anyway
think I'm toast,, about resolution,, don't know anything ..................?

Chris Miller

No, we're on the right track here.
Now open zlaunch-w.exe.
Under the Zelda Classic tab, set your screen mode to Window and your screen resolution to 640x480.
Under the ZQuest tab, set it to Windowed, and set the window size to 3x.
Then click on Launch ZQ.

I would try windowed mode with small mode and no scale (or scale 1 or 2) and then see what the error is. It looks like fullscreen is not going to work at all.
