I will be clear of 2 things: 1st, I found this today on youtube and have nothing to do with it. 2nd: Semi-Spoilers. Have fun.

Out of these, the only ones I wasn't aware of already was facts #4 and #5. Especially #4 surprised me.

I mostly wanted to post this here because I've been on an Earthbound self-inflicted craze as of late (what with purchasing and playing it on my Wii U)
so I apologize if it seem like I'm being annoying or anything like that.

I never knew about #4! The rest I'd read about in the past, but 4 seems awfully surprising to me, especially considering the Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi games.

I guess I'm the hipster who knew about all 5, then. :3

Well, either way, Mr.Z, I'm also in an Mother 2 craze atm, though, it got distracted due to Hyrule Warriors. lol

I still need to play through this game. I keep getting distracted. I buy too many games lately.

So...does that copy protection extend to a ROM on an emulator, then? Because I didn't get the piracy message, and no more enemies than I recall from the many rainy afternoons I spent playing it on the SNES. But that third one has me concerned, naturally.

I don't think that Copy Protection in earthbound on snes applies to emulators as of now. I know I play EB on ZSNES with absolutely no issues at all beat the game and enjoyed it quite a bit :)

It's an enjoyable game as old-school RPGs go, just some of the walking around from place to place gets tedious at times. I play it off and on (when I'm not playing Zelda Classic) and just recently arrived in Fourside. And has anyone but me noticed that the Runaway Five has six members when they're on stage?

EDIT: I noticed there is a game for the NES called "Earthbound Zero." This is unlikely a prequel as the name suggest, since it's for an older system. Does anybody know anything about that?

Huh... Never noticed that was six members, Maybe I didn't pay attention or something? You would think with the name Runaway Five that would be Five people and not six. XD

I know, it's weird. Anywhere else in the game there's only five but on stage there is a sixth member.

Regarding Earthbound Zero, it is the first in the "Mother" series that Earthbound is the second game of (so Mother 2) and the main character (resembling Ness somewhat) is called Ninten. It revolves around Ninten as he must fulfill an epic destiny involving and I won't spoil anything else for you. ITs is a good game, but is more grindy than Earthbound can be as the enemies can scale in difficulty at unexpected times in the story.

Also, around the time you get to Fourside in Earthbound, Ness will have the chance to learn Teleport (it requires first paying off the Runawat Five's current debt and an extensive series of trading with monkeys back in the desert. I hope you kept Jeff's Ruler and Protractor though I think you can buy them at this point for cheap if you didn't)

Oh, I know that, I've completed the game before. Twice in fact, but it's enjoyable enough to play again and again. I've already completed the Moonside sequence since that last post.
