Well I've read through zcript.txt (mostly), and while I understand a few bits and pieces of it, as a whole it might as well have been written using wingdings! I've looked around a bit for good tutorials, but anything I find either seems to have a broken link, or is incredibly shallow and uninforming. For those of you who know how to use zscript: Where did you learn it? Is there someplace I just haven't found yet with a really great tutorial? Or am I pretty much required to dig through encyclopedias of scripts, dissecting each individually to figure out what makes each one tick?

Here are a few tutorials I wrote. I'm not aware of any others.

Basic (http://www.purezc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=38176)
Intermediate (http://www.purezc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=38731)
Advanced (http://www.purezc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=40238)

Wow. That's a lot to keep track of! Better start cramming! My basic puzzle and mini-game concepts suddenly don't seem so basic anymore. But, this is definitely going to help make things less complicated! Thanks for the help! Although, what's the general consensus on requesting scripts from other people? This seems like something that will take a while to learn, and I'd rather not let my progress on the actual quest grind to a complete and total halt while I study and practice. Is it frowned upon?

Requesting scripts is totally fine. The only problem is that there's a fair chance no one will take up the request. The odds aren't too bad if they're simple enough, but a lot of things are more difficult than they seem.
