Anyone played Shovel Knight yet? I'm hoping to download it for my 3DS next week. It's apparently a lot like Mega Man and Zelda II.

I backed it, but I'm having email problems with redeeming my 3DS code (they used an outside source for backer code redemption, I'm pretty sure the problem is I entered my email wrong) but I'll let ya know once its sorted, I've downloaded, and played it.

I've been wanting this game. Sadly I wont be getting a WiiU or 3DS anytime soon.

What I really want to know is if the people who backed the appropriate level got their envelope of dirt.

This is the best product photo ever, bwahaha!

Own a real piece of the Shovel Knight Saga! At this reward level, we will hand-sign and deliver a handsome, wax-sealed envelope filled with Official Shovel Knight Dirt. We have obtained dirt ( at no small expense, mind you! ) from each area of Shovel Knight’s Kingdom; Gearwork Dirt from the base of the Clockwork Tower, Besmirched Dirt from the Village of Plague, and more! The dirt you receive will be chosen at random, but trust us when we say that all of the dirt is very special. Get it fast, because when it runs out, it’s gone. We’re not made out of dirt here!

I just downloaded this game and played the first few stages. It's good and it has a nice challenge to it. I get a really good Mega Man, Duck Tails, Castlevania type vibe to it. Well done so far! If you have either system and a spare $15, do yourself a favor and download this one.

I picked it up the other day. I'd read and seen too much about it not to check it out, and with the rave reviews, how could I resist? I've only played the first two stages (plus the Town and a map enemy encounter) but I like it so far. The main game isn't too hard yet, (though the reach of the shovel blade takes some getting used to) but the bosses are different story. Definitely died a few times on those.

I was torn between getting it for 3DS or Wii U, but I settled on the Wii U version. As much as I wanted to see it in 3D, I wanted a bigger screen to see it all. Also helps that it goes towards the Digital Deluxe Promotion (for those of you that bought the Wii U 32GB Deluxe bundle, ddp.nintendo.com)
