I am building a custom Zelda quest that will run just about identically to the original 8-bit NES game. The only difference I'd like to make is to change the Dungeon music from the regular 8-bit dungeon theme, to the Super NES style dungeon music.

Does anybody know how I would be able to do this? Is there an .nsf file for "A Link to the Past?" Thanks in advance!

If you just want it to have the sound quality of an SNES but the same song, go to the menu for the dungeon's DMap and go to music. Under Enhanced Music click "Clear", then set the MIDI to "Dungeon". If you want the actual dungeon music from LttP, then I'm not entirely sure what you'd need to do.

Zelda Classic's music capabilities are limited to MIDIs as the primary venue with slightly more esoteric options available like NSFs and IT/MOD files (I think). You can also use MP3s (and OGG I -think-). Only MIDIs become integrated into the quest file as a result of the age of the format along with being tiny. Any other music format must be presented as a separate file download because it will NOT be integrated.

That said, there is no automatic way to do what you're trying to do. You'll just have to find MP3s.
