This quest has been in development for the last week or so. Its going to be a sequel to a quest I made called "LBDT: The Quest of Lamda" this game continues the lack luster story and gives you a classic game that's nostalgic in a good way.

~Story~
100 Years after the events of the first adventure in Lamda. The golden power destroyed Lamda even through the hero wished for eternal peace. The golden power decided the only way for that to happen is to destroy the land...
After all the years that have passed no one really knew what happend the only thing the people of the newly founded New Lamda know is that The prince of thieves got his wish of eternal darkness and death and destruction.

Only if they could know that the fabled Golden Power caused the destruction of the Old Lamda...

One day a normal boy coming of age decided to search out the fable golden power to become something more then just some nobody. This is where our hero learns of another warrior looking for the Golder power as well.
Then our hero sets off for an adventure through a fresh new world and a decaying dead world. So begins the The Quest of Lamda II: A new legend.

Looks pretty standard. I guess it's okay.

So basically Z1: Clutter Edition? I might play it, but considering Link's Bad Trip...

I hope this one's good or at the very least not outright bad. Personally, I am not fond of the claustrophobia design (and the features seem to scream Z1-clone at best) but meh.

Looks interesting. Since you mention that the world was destroyed, maybe you could build an 'underworld' that looks like the previous game's overworld (maybe ruined, like in Super Metroid) and hide some of the dungeons in there.

Well part of the eastern part of the overworld is reminiscent of part of the first games overworld. It has been 100 years so some of the land of Old Lamda has changed. There's going to be some dungeons over there that's closely resembling first game.
But they are going to be optional for some trinkets or something.

Bumping this outta the grave. I've decided to release an earlier finished copy of this quest here for someone to enjoy. There was one newer then this but it was lost for various reasons. (Through it would be awesome if someone still had the version that had the latest and last version that was on PureZC Before I got them removed from there.)

Anywho check the first post for screens and download links, it should be beatable there might be a few issues I don't know I hardly can remember if there was anything..

I like the tileset. Is that something you did custom?

Nope, sadly I'm not that good xD a user on PureZC made it. He went by the name "DragonDePlatino" you can find the tileset here http://www.purezc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=62406 (PureZC of course).
