Okay, I'm pretty sure this is most likely intended behavior, but as while you can destroy pound combos and trigger hammer triggers with the hammer, you cannot destroy pound combos, trigger hammer triggers, or trigger strike triggers with the quake hammer or super quake techniques, and it just doesn't seem to make any sense, seeing as these two techniques require the use of the hammer. So maybe for the next version, why not adjust it to where the Quake Hammer and Super Quake techniques can destroy pound combos and trigger hammer and strike triggers.
