I dunno if any of you are as balls-out bonkers for Doctor Who (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73Q-J_oz6Zo) as I am, but the BBC earlier today announced (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73Q-J_oz6Zo) that Peter Capaldi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Capaldi) has been cast as Matt Smith's replacement as The Doctor. His debut episode will be (probably) the very end of the Christmas special this year, though his first series won't start til next August. Bit of a wait.
I'm personally glad they cast an older actor for the part again. Eccleston was my personal favorite of the modern series, followed by Smith. With the rumors surrounding the 50th anniversary special and the placement of John Hurt's incarnation, I'm really curious to see what how Doctor the Twelve turns out!
