2.50 items don't work

I'm trying to make a quest but every time i click item it just stops working and closes.
When i was making a quest on my old computer which was windows 7 it worked fine, but now on my windows 8 it doesn't work, anybody know why?

It was a known issue with windows 8, this new version fixes it.
