Custom Board Games

I recently discovered a site (TheGameCrafter.com) that provides print-on-demand board game services. I for one know that I'd like to make a game or two. Actually, I've got two board games in mind that would do well with a professional prototype. One's a modification of a 'cardboard and printer paper' game my family built when I was a kid, and the other... well, let's just say it combines some good ideas from other games in some kind of horrific chimerical mess (which may or may not work; that's what test play is for!).


But I'm curious... has anybody else ever wanted to make a board game?

On several occasions growing up. Sadly, they sounded good in idea form, but in practice were hardly any fun.
