No hack necessary, just have to have the game. I'm stoked.

Looks pretty awesome! Its a crying shame that I sold my New Super mario bro's Wii. :|

I just read about this too. I knew people did hacks for NSMB Wii using Riivolution, but I had no idea they were putting a whole game together. Very sweet. Although now I'm going to have so much NSMB to play I won't know what to do! Between this, NSMB Wii U and New Super Luigi U (both of which I intend to get when I get a Wii U), I will be busy for a while!

I will say it is nice that I'll be able to use Riivolution for something other than imports. Thus far I've only used it to play Fatal Frame 4 (JPN import w/ translation patch), Fatal Frame 2: Deep Crimson Butterfly (PAL import), and Another Code: R (also a PAL import).

Damn. I wonder if there is a way to run this with NSMB backup. I had a NSMB hack some time ago. I forgot what it was called. Launched the same way as a backup and used the same save file as NSMB.

EDIT: Still have it. It's called NSMB2: The Next Levels.

This Newer SMB Wii has it's XML config file set so that your game save is redirected to the SD card, so any NSMB Wii save you have on the system will stay in tact. Cool huh?

That is cool. The game looks good. I wont go out and buy a retail disk for it though. It requires a soft mod. They might as well support launching it from a backup.

I have that too. Kind of glitchy, which I've heard might be because it wasn't supposed to be usbloader compatible and they MAY have "broke it" on purpose.

My wifes dad has the retail disk, so I'm going to use it at some point.

Picking this up tomorrow! This looks like this is going to be a fun weekend.

I just went to a local resell shop and traded some games for it, mainly got rid of The Last story and and Sonic Generations for it. :P
