Hi,

I've never played The Legend of Zelda on the NES before, but as The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past is one of my favourite games of all time, I would really like to give it a go.

I was wondering if it was possible to play a version of the original NES game with updated graphics (preferably with SNES style graphics)?

I did a Google search which bought me to ZeldaClassic.com, but it seems as though the one's with the updated graphics seem to change around the gameplay too.

I would really like to play the original Zelda 1 with updated graphics.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Well I can't think of any right off the back except these two games, Which one is kinda a bit different with levels.
And one has everything the same but the graphics all majorly overhauled.

Origin (Overhauled graphics)

First Quest layered (Very nice and has dungeons in different places. but it does have the original map).

I think somewhere down the line you got a little confused. This is a program people use to make their own graphics and maps for a clone of Zelda 1. You're probably looking for BS Zelda or something.

Tsurisuto, welcome! Stick around, play some other custom quests as well. The two that ctrl-alt-delete mentioned are both pretty similar to the original gameplay. I still perfer the original graphics, myself. I'm a sucker for 8 bit stuff. My favorite Zelda game is still A Link To The Past, so you're not alone there.
